Murdock, NE, January 21, 2013 -- Oxbow Animal Health, a leader in the innovative care and nutrition of small and exotic animals worldwide, has announced that it is currently accepting applications for the 2013 Oxbow Scholarships – annual scholarships awarded to students who are passionate about animals and actively pursuing degrees in veterinary science, animal science, and related fields. This year, Oxbow will award $3,500 to five outstanding students pursuing education in the exotic and companion animal veterinary fields.
Oxbow scholarship winners are chosen for their interest and involvement in the field of exotic animal health, excellence in the areas of academic achievement, and clarity and eloquence in expression of future career goals and interests. Applications must be postmarked by March 1, 2013 and are available on Oxbow’s website at www.oxbowanimalhealth.com.
“Today’s students are the future of the animal health industry,” said Melissa Ross, Marketing Operations Manager for Oxbow. “Many students rely on financial support in various forms to help defer the high cost of tuition. Supporting the education of tomorrow’s veterinary and animal health professionals is an investment in the future quality of life for pets everywhere. We encourage any student pursuing a degree in veterinary science, animal science, or other similar fields to apply for this year’s scholarships.”
